I was diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) a couple of years ago, and my doctor prescribed Tracleer 32mg. After getting past the initial side effects, it has significantly improved my ability to breathe and exercise. However, the strict monitoring and potential side effects are daunting. I manage a regular blood test schedule, and my doctor consistently advises me on possible complications, especially for my liver. I'm grateful for this medication, but it's crucial to stay vigilant about potential issues, especially with ongoing liver function tests and the risk of allergic reactions. As mentioned on the drug information site symptoms such as flushing or nose irritation are common side effects and I have experienced some of these, although not nearly as severe as the potential life-threatening side effects. I wanted to share my experience to help those who are newly diagnosed or considering this medication. Please share your experiences and any tips for managing Tracleer effectively.

Can anyone share any tips for managing the swelling? It’s getting hard to ignore.

I had a cold a few weeks back and was worried it was a side effect. Turns out it was just a cold. Phew!

The nose irritation is real. I tried nasal sprays and different remedies but really nothing worked for me. But my doctor advised me that it’s just a minor side effect and it’s not common to see this in all the patients. Now I just try to bear with it.

I had no idea this drug could cause such severe allergic reactions. Good thing I read the side effects before starting it.

I wish they'd come out with a version that doesn't require constant blood tests. It's a hassle, but I guess it's better than the alternative.

Be prepared for some scary side effects. I had a bout of severe joint pain that lasted for days. But after discussing with my doctor, we managed it. Just want to mention, everyone's experience can be different, so stay in touch with your healthcare provider.

I got really scared when I started experiencing a strange heartbeat. Turns out it was just a minor side effect, but it was still terrifying. Always better to be safe and get checked out immediately.

I've been on Tracleer for about 6 months now, and it's been a game-changer. My energy levels have increased, and I can finally go on walks without feeling winded. The only downside is the constant monitoring, but it's worth it. Just make sure to follow your doctor's instructions to the letter!

I feel like the benefits outweigh the risks. I mean, what’s the point of living if you can’t breathe properly? Just be smart about it.
