I've been diagnosed with intermittent claudication, and my doctor prescribed Trental 400mg Tablets to help improve my blood flow and reduce pain during exercise. The medication has been working well so far, but I've been experiencing some side effects like burping and bloating. I've been told that while these are common, they should go away eventually. If anyone else has experience with this medication, I'd love to hear about it. What side effects did you experience? Did they go away? Do I need to worry about the long term effects and what happens if I stop taking the medication? I know some people experience severe side effects, but it seems really rare. How can I be sure that my insurance covers the cost of the medication and will I be able to afford it long term? As I am currently going on a vacation, should I be worried about my blood becoming less sticky and how it may effect the flight because of blood clots? Specifically, I am also wondering if anyone else has experienced changes in their blood pressure while taking this medication and if so, how did they manage this side effect? Lastly, if anyone has any other tips or advice on managing intermittent claudication, I'd really appreciate hearing them.

I've found that drinking plenty of water helps with the gas and bloating. Also, my doctor recommended taking it with a healthy breakfast. It has helped a lot with my leg pain, but I still have to be careful not to overdo it.

Be careful with this med, I experienced the worst headache of my life. It turned out to be an allergic reaction. It has been two weeks since I stopped taking it, but I am still experiencing side effects and I am not sure if it is part of the withdrawal. I've heard that stopping Trental abruptly can be tough, so talk to your doctor before making any changes.

I've been on Trental for years and have had no real issues. Just make sure to get your blood pressure checked regularly, as it can be affected by the medication.

Has anyone tried any natural remedies alongside Trental? I'm interested in boosting my blood flow without relying solely on medication.
