My experience with Tretinoin Micro 0.04% Gel for acne and anti-aging: Worth it or not?
I've been using Tretinoin Micro 0.04% Gel for about two months now, and I've noticed some significant changes in my skin. I started using it because I had persistent acne and wanted to reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles around my eyes. The gel has a light, water-based texture which feels refreshing when applied. It did cause an initial breakout that lasted for about a week. The burning and stinging was intense the first 10 days, it literally felt like my skin was on fire. However, my skin has since improved significantly. My acne is much clearer and my skin texture has evened out. The wrinkles around my eyes are less pronounced, and my skin feels smoother overall. I apply a pea-sized amount every other night and it has worked well, as per my dermatologist's recommendation. However, I've also experienced some dryness and flaking, which I manage with a good moisturizer. I'm curious to hear from others who have used this product. What were your experiences like? Any tips for managing the side effects?

I used this for a week and had to stop because the burning was unbearable. Maybe I should have given it more time, but it was too intense for me. Has anyone else had this issue?
I've been using Tretinoin for a while and my skin looks so much better. I wish I had started sooner! And the anti-aging benefits are real. Definitely notice fewer fine lines.
I had a severe allergic reaction to Tretinoin. It was scary! I had to go to the ER because my face swelled up and I had trouble breathing. I can't recommend it to anyone. I don't know how people can tolerate it.
This stuff is a lifesaver for my acne. I use it every other night and my skin has never looked better. The initial breakout was rough, but the results are worth it. Just be patient and stick with it. The flaking and dryness are real but they pass pretty quickly.
I've been using Tretinoin for a few weeks and my skin is so dry! Any tips on how to deal with this?
I've been using it for about three months and my skin finally feels normal. The dryness and irritation were tough at first, but now my skin is so much smoother and clearer. I love it! Just remember to be gentle with your skin and use a good moisturizer.
I tried Tretinoin for a month and it did nothing for me. I didn't even get a breakout, actually my skin cleared but I didn't see any difference in my acne scars or wrinkles. I think it might work differently for everyone though.
I've had great success with Tretinoin. I started with a lower concentration and gradually moved up to 0.04%. I think that helped my skin adjust better. Also, I found that applying it after a gentle face wash and waiting for 20 minutes before applying moisturizer helped a lot. It's worth the effort and the side effects are manageable.
I've been using Tretinoin for a few months now and I agree, the initial breakout was rough but it got better. I apply it every other night as well and my skin has improved a lot. It's amazing for acne scars too! Just be patient and give your skin time to adjust. Also, use a good moisturizer and sunscreen daily. Tretinoin makes your skin very sensitive to the sun.
