I've been using triamcinolone topical spray for a couple of weeks now to manage my eczema. The itching and redness have significantly improved, but I've noticed a persistent burning sensation at the application site. I've read about the side effects, but I'm not sure if I should be worried. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to manage it? Also, I've heard that this medication can cause skin thinning with prolonged use. Is this something I should be concerned about? I'd love to hear from others who have used this medication.

Use a towel to apply the spray and let it dry completely. I got an infection from sweeping it around my bathroom. It was a different medication, but still.. just cover it up with a towel or something.

I've been using other topical steroids for years and never had any issues. Maybe it's just your skin reacting? Try switching to a different brand next time you get a refill, if you can.

Be careful with the dosage and don't overuse it. I know it's tough when you're itching, but it's important to stick to the prescription.

I'm so glad I found this thread. I was worried about the burning sensation too. I've been using it for about a week now, and the irritation is still there. I think I'll give it a couple more days and if it doesn't go away, I'll call my doctor.

Triamcinolone topical spray works wonders for my dermatitis, but I always make sure to moisturize afterwards. The burning sensation you're feeling might be due to dryness. I'd recommend using a good moisturizer to help counteract that.

Just wanted to say that triamcinolone topical spray saved my butt when I got a bad case of poison oak. It stopped the itching in a couple of days. I just wish it was cheaper.

The FDA has a report portal where you can file side effects, but I have problems doing it. If you're experiencing burning, and it does not go away, you might want to check out the portal, and try their number.
