I recently underwent treatment with Varithena 10mg/ml Injectable Foam for my varicose veins. The procedure was relatively straightforward, and the foam injection itself wasn't too painful. However, I did experience some swelling and bruising at the injection site, which were manageable with over-the-counter pain relievers. I'm curious to hear from others who have undergone this treatment—was your experience similar, and how long did it take for your symptoms to fully resolve? I've also been doing some research on the side effects of Varithena. While I haven't experienced any of the more serious issues mentioned, I was concerned when I saw the list of possible reactions listed on the FDA website. It's a long list, and it can be a bit overwhelming. But apparently, most people don't experience any serious side effects from this medication. Has anyone else had any strange reactions, like numbness or trouble moving a leg or arm? It's good to know how others are faring with this treatment so I can be prepared if anything comes up. I understand some of the side effects are rare, but they're still scary to think about.

I had trouble breathing and tightness in the chest, but it turns out it wasn't blood clots. It was anxiety brought on by the pressure that comes with the procedure. I guess that's another thing to watch out for. Keep calm and talk to your doctor if you feel anything is off. Trust me on this.

I had some trouble with blurred vision for about a day after the procedure, but it cleared up quickly. I was a bit freaked out at first, but my doctor reassured me it was just a temporary side effect. Definitely talk to your doctor about the risks and signs to look out for after the treatment.

I can't believe how many people don't know about this stuff! Varithena is such a godsend for varicose veins.

My doctor actually told me that they perform several foam treatments on a patient to get the best results. As long as you manage the symptoms properly, the outcomes can be fantastic. I'm still pretty scared about the blood clots and neurological effects, but everyone I’ve talked to has been fine. You just really have to follow up with the doctor regularly.

I’ve been considering Varithena for my varicose veins but I’m nervous about the neurological symptoms. Has anyone experienced those?

I've read that the most common infusion site reactions are redness, burning, and pain. If you experience intense pain or swelling, your doctor may need to check for a clot. I've definitely seen people have a much easier recovery when they followed the post-treatment instructions closely. So, I recommend paying close attention to what your doctor says concerning your infusion site and overall recovery.

I've had some swelling and bruising as well, especially at the infusion site. I also had some numbness, but it went away after a few days. The pain management was key. Ask your doctor about the best practices for pain management after the procedure.

I had Varithena a few months ago and it was a game-changer. The swelling and bruising went away within a week, and my varicose veins are almost completely gone. No serious side effects here!
