I've been prescribed Vasopressin 20unit/ml Sol Inj, 1ml for severe shock, and I'm trying to understand the possible side effects better. The medication is a bit scary because it can cause severe allergic reactions and low sodium levels. Anyone else on this medication? How are you managing the side effects? I'm particularly worried about the signs of an allergic reaction, such as swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. I also want to know more about the signs of low sodium levels, including headaches and memory problems. Any tips on how to recognize these symptoms early and what to do if they occur? Additionally, I'm curious about other possible side effects and how common they are. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

If you experience any severe side effects, don't hesitate to go to the ER. It's better to be safe than sorry. I've seen too many people wait it out and end up in serious trouble.

I had a bad reaction to Vasopressin. My doctor switched me to a different medication and I felt so much better. Trust your body and your doctor, but don't be afraid to advocate for yourself if something doesn't feel right.

I'm on Vasopressin for diabetes insipidus. It's helped a lot with my water retention, but I've had some weird skin sores. Anyone else experience this?

I've been on Vasopressin for a while now, and it's definitely helped with my blood pressure. Just make sure to monitor your sodium levels closely. I keep a log of my symptoms and check in with my doctor regularly.
