I've been taking Zonisamide 100mg capsules for about six months to manage my epilepsy, and it's been a journey. Initially, I was really nervous about the side effects, especially the more severe ones listed in the pamphlet. However, my doctor assured me that the benefits outweigh the risks for many patients. It's important to note that I take it regularly as prescribed and I've noticed a significant reduction in my seizures. I've also experienced some dizziness and drowsiness, but nothing too overwhelming. I'm curious to hear from others who have tried this medication. How did you handle the side effects? Did you find any tips to help manage them better?

Honestly, I've had a rough time with this medication. The side effects are too severe for me to continue. But everyone is different, so don't let my experience scare you too much. Maybe talk to your doctor about adjustments?

I’ve been on Zonisamide for a while and have noticed some stomach issues, but nothing too bad. Drinking lots of water and eating smaller meals helped a lot.

Just a heads up, if you're sweating a lot or feeling super tired, it might be a sign of something more serious. I had to stop taking it because of these symptoms, which is a bummer because it was working so well for my seizures.

People who are taking Zonisamide should keep an eye out for signs of acidosis. I had no clue what it was until I started feeling really out of it and ended up in the ER.

Did anyone else experience memory problems? I've noticed some issues with recall and it's been really frustrating. My doctor suggested it could be a side effect and we might need to adjust the dosage.

Yep, I had those vision problems! It was scary at first, but my eye doctor said it’s not uncommon with this medication. Regular check-ups are crucial. I didn't realize how important it is to monitor your eyesight when on this stuff.
