My latest headache cure: Naproxen Sodium 220mg Tablets - but beware the side effects!
I recently picked up some Naproxen Sodium 220mg tablets to help manage my headaches and muscle aches. It's been a game-changer in dealing with my menstrual cramps and toothaches, but the list of side effects is pretty scary. I'm always careful to take it as directed, but I've noticed some mild stomach discomfort and dizziness. I suppose it's worth it to avoid the pain, but I'm curious if anyone else has experienced any of the more serious side effects like unusual bruises or skin reactions? And if so, did your doctor advise you to stop taking it? I remember reading about reports of some severe allergic and kidney problems. I have some questions on the long-term effects if used regularly.

I had bad teeth problems last year. I could barely function through the pain lol Naproxen was my savior until I developed a rash. It was pretty scary, but it went away within a day of stopping the medication.
Personally, I've had no issues. The occasional constipation but nothing I can't handle. It works well for my headaches, but I am worried about the long-term issues. I think I'll talk to my doctor about possible alternatives.
I've had good luck with Naproxen for my arthritis. The only side effect I noticed was mild heartburn, but it wasn't enough to stop taking it.
That's interesting about the kidney problems. I've read that it can affect kidney function, especially if you have pre-existing conditions. Always good to be cautious!
I had never heard of Stevens-Johnson syndrome until I read the warning on the package. Scary stuff! I think I'll stick to Tylenol.
I had to stop taking Naproxen because my doctor told me it could cause bleeding with long-term use. I started with 220 mg and switched to only 110 mg for occasional use. It's still effective for my pain, but I'm taking it less often, just in case.
I've always found Naproxen to be a bit harsh on my stomach. I have to take it on a full stomach, and even then, it can cause some discomfort. It's a trade-off for the pain relief, though.
Anyone else get cognitive confusion or shortness of breath? I've been feeling tired and a bit foggy-headed lately after taking Naproxen but can't be sure if it's related.
I took Naproxen for a while and started experiencing some serious stomach issues, including some alarming bruises that appeared out of nowhere. I had to stop taking it and see a doctor. It turned out it was affecting my platelets and I didn't even know it. My doctor said it was probably a combination of factors but I need to be careful with NSAIDs like this.
I've been using Naproxen for years and have never had any major issues. Just the occasional upset stomach, but nothing serious.
