I've been considering Myobloc for my cervical dystonia, but I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the severe ones. I've read that it can cause allergic reactions and even infections. Has anyone had any bad experiences or have any tips on managing the side effects? Does anyone know if the benefits outweigh the risks? I'd love to hear from people who have used Myobloc before. For me the neck pain and spasms are unbearable at times.

I've had a couple of friends get botox for their wrinkles and they said it worked wonders. Not sure if it does the same with the neck spasms. Anyway, I know there are many other alternatives to Botox. But Myobloc is also supposed to be great and I think it's worth a try.

I've been on Myobloc for about a year now, and while I've had some minor side effects like a headache and dry mouth, nothing too severe. It's definitely helped with my muscle spasms. I think the benefits far outweigh the risks for me.

I'm glad it's helped some people, but I'm not sure I'd risk the severe side effects. I've had bad experiences with other medications, so I'm always cautious. Seyef. How about you, OP? Have you tried anything else?

I had a friend who had really bad joint pain after using this. It wasn't worth it for him. He was screaming in pain and it scared me. He stopped taking it and went to physical therapy. I think that's the best thing you can do. Unfortunately, it's not guaranteed to work for everyone. Just don't forget to take your meds regularly. Good luck!

I had no idea that this even existed. Thanks for sharing. I don't think I have any muscle issues. I've never had any pain in my neck, chest, or throat. The only pain I've had was in my wrist after falling on my hand. I hope you get well soon. I'll pray for you.

I agree with the first comment. I've had some mild side effects, but the relief from my symptoms has been a game-changer. I would recommend it, but definitely talk to your doctor about your concerns.

Why not give it a try? Maybe you get lucky.

I had a bad reaction to it. I developed a rash and had trouble breathing. I had to go to the ER. I would be cautious if I were you. Just be aware of the signs and be ready to act fast in case something goes wring. Good luck!

I've heard that some people experience flu-like symptoms after the injection. Make sure you're prepared for that. I would be a bit scared of the risk of infection but I guess that's very rare. Really hope it helps you.
