I recently visited Machu Picchu and was struck by its beauty and mystery. The site's intricate design and panoramic views are breathtaking, but I can't shake the feeling that there's so much more to discover. What do you think are the most compelling unresolved questions about this ancient site? Do you believe there are still hidden structures or artifacts waiting to be found? I'd love to hear from fellow travelers and experts alike.

I also noticed that the site is under constant threat from erosion and tourism. How do you think Machu picchu’s preservation should be balanced with accessibility?

I've always wondered about the astronomical alignment of the buildings. It's fascinating how they were built to align with celestial bodies. Any astronomers out there who can shed more light on this?

I disagree with the idea of limiting access. Machu Picchu is a world heritage site and should be accessible to all. Plus, think of the economic boost for the region!

I visited Machu Picchu last year and was amazed by the terraces. I heard there are some undiscovered ruins deeper in the jungle, but it’s hard to get to. I guess that’s part of the mystery!

I think the biggest threat is actually the commercialization. There are so many tourists that it feels more like a theme park sometimes.

I went there on a guided tour and our guide told us about the legend of the 'Lost City of the Incas.' Maybe there are more cities out there waiting to be discovered!

As someone who has lived in Peru, I can tell you the locals take great pride in Machu Picchu. They do a lot to preserve it, but it's a constant battle against the elements and tourists.

I heard there are still some unexplored tunnels and chambers beneath the site. Maybe there are secrets hidden underground!
