My mom was recently prescribed Namenda 10mg/5ml Solution to help manage her moderate Alzheimer's. I've read about the potential side effects, and I'm a bit nervous. I want to hear from others who have experience with this medication. Were the side effects manageable? How did you handle them? Did the benefits outweigh the discomfort? Also, I'm curious if anyone experienced any long-term improvements.

My mom had a bit of constipation, but we managed it with some dietary changes. I think the benefits for her have been worth it. She's more alert and engaged.

My cousin started this and within a week had a rash. Doctor changed it to something else. Just want to share that it can happen. Be vigilant.

I had a really bad experience with Namenda. My dad started feeling confused and disoriented, and it got so bad we had to stop the medication. Please be very careful and watch for any changes.

This is a hard road, but you're not alone. Keep asking questions and sharing your experiences. It helps everyone.
