I had a nasal surgery and was prescribed Cocaine Hcl 40mg/ml Nasal Sol 4ml for the procedure. The doctor mentioned that it would help numb the area and reduce bleeding but didn't go into much detail about the side effects or aftercare. The medical pamphlet seems scary, so I was wondering if anyone else has had experience with this medication. Is it as bad as the pamphlet makes it out to be, and what can you expect after the procedure?

I had a really bad experience with nosebleeds after my surgery so I don't know what that is about. I don't know, maybe you are the kind of person that has bad things happen to you.

This stuff isn't what you'd expect. I had a deviated septum fixed and they used this. It was oddly uncomfortable because it was cold and I felt it go up my nose. But it worked great, and I had no bleeding after surgery which was a relief. Regular nosebleeds are bad enough, but you don't want that after a procedure.

After my surgery, I had a mild rash, and the doctor said it was a minor reaction to the medication. It was not severe and my doctor said it was a side effect of the cocaine and not due to an allergic reaction.

I worked in a lab and the doctor was a big risk taker so he used the cocaine solution on a pig at the lab and the pig did not do well. Based on my experience, I would say, do not freak out if you feel strange but if you feel really bad, then just get some help.

I've worked in medical settings, and this solution is often used to control bleeding and numb the area during nasal procedures. It's effective, but like any powerful medication, it comes with risks. Just make sure to follow your doctor's instructions carefully and report any unusual symptoms right away. It's crucial to stay calm and not panic if you feel strange. They should be in the room to monitor you at first, and you will be good. People report symptoms and freak out when they really aren't freaking out but just feel weird.

As with any medication, everyone reacts differently. I had a similar procedure and had a mild headache afterward, but nothing too severe. Make sure to talk to your doctor about any concerns you have. And don't worry about the side effects too much; the pamphlet does list them, but many people won't experience them. Stay hydrated and rest so you should be fine.

The solution works by blocking nerve signals and tightening blood vessels. It's a powerful local anesthetic and vasoconstrictor, which is why it's used in nasal procedures. But yeah, it's cocaine, and it's crucial to use it under medical supervision. I used to be a drug addict so I used cocaine a lot but this was not an addictive form.

My friend had a similar procedure and it was in her nose for so long she got a high off of the cocaine. Odds are you will not get high off of it. Unless you're an addict who is able to get a high off of anything. Your doctor is going to watch you though, if you're worried.

Are you sure the solution is cocaine? I thought that was a fun drug and not a medicine used by doctors.
