I've been using Nasal Decong 0.05% Spray for the past week to help with my persistent nasal congestion. I've found it to be quite effective in shrinking the swollen blood vessels in my nose and making it easier to breathe. However, I'm curious to know how it compares to other remedies like Sudafed or Afrin. Does anyone have experience with these alternatives? How quickly do they work and what kind of side effects do they have?

I've had mixed experiences with nasal sprays. I tried Afrin once and it was great for a couple of days, but then I started getting rebound congestion. So be careful with those things.

I had a bad reaction to Nasal Decong once—horrible itching and redness around my eyes. It was scary to freak out and think I was having an allergic reaction. Now I'm sticking to saline.

Rebound congestion is real with these sprays. I tried to use Nasal Decong continuously for a week and ended up with a worse stuffy nose than before. Doctor said to stick with saline and decongestants only occasionally.

Why isn't some of the natural stuff on the counter with the drugs?
