I've been prescribed Nebivolol 5mg Tablets for my high blood pressure, and while it's done a great job, I've had some concerning side effects. I’ve been experiencing dizziness and headache. My doctor mentioned these are common but I've also seen some scary things online. What are other users experiencing? Is it normal to have these reactions? And if I’m badly affected by the side effects, what should I do? I don't want to stop taking it, but I also don't want to risk my health. I've heard that some people also experience chest pain. Anyone else have this, and what did you do?

Imagine the hilarity of having to stop taking a drug because it makes you have trouble breathing. It's not funny though, but it kind of is. I bet that that's the worst case scenario.

I had a bad reaction to Nebivolol. I broke out in hives and had trouble breathing. I went to the ER and they told me to stop taking it immediately. The doctor said if I had waited I could have ended up in serious trouble. Their exact words were: 'You were playing with fire.'

I've been on Nebivolol for a few months now and I have to say, the headaches have been pretty bad. I tried taking it at different times of the day, but it seems to always cause a headache. I'm thinking of switching to a different medication.I also heard that its best to take medicine in the morning. Is that what you guys do?

Dizziness and fainting are red flags though. You should report this to your doctor as soon as possible. I got dizzy once, but it only lasted a few minutes. Then again, I've also had a migraine or two.

This medication is a double-edged sword. It's great for lowering blood pressure, but the side effects can be a real pain.

I was on Nebivolol for a while and had no issues at all. I think everyone's different though. I also was never clear on the best practices for Nebivolol. I know you have to gradually stop taking it. What's the best way to do that, and why?

I've found that the best way to deal with the side effects is to take it with food. It doesn't work for everyone, but it helped me. My doctor also told me to get up slower, and to eat smaller, more frequent meals. I think it might have helped prevent the dizziness and lightheadedness.

I've been experience lots of fatigue and dizziness. The doctor told me that these are normal for the first 2 weeks, but I don't know what to do if it continues. I had to stop taking it in the evening because of the effects it had on my sleep. Did anyone else have this issue? My parents take it at night and they say it's a dream. My doctor told me to gradually increase the dosage. I said that wasn't what I was looking for. Is there anyone else who's switched to a different medication because of the side effects? I'm thinking about switching to something else.

I've been on Nebivolol for a year now and I haven't had any issues. I think it's great. I take it in the morning and side effects are minimal. Don't know what people are complaining about.

I'm on Nebivolol but I've been feeling weak and tired. I don't know if it's the medication or something else. Anyone else feel this way? Might be worth getting a blood test to see if there are other issues. We take it in the morning, and it seems to work well for us, but I've heard that doctors recommend taking it in the evening too.
