I was recently prescribed Levemir Flexpen 3ml to manage my type 2 diabetes. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I'm curious to know how others are managing their blood sugar levels with this long-acting insulin. I'm still getting used to the idea of injecting insulin daily, and I've had some concerns about the potential side effects, especially the severe ones. My doctor told me about Levemir and it's really good for maintaining steady blood sugar levels, but I want to hear from people with real-life experience. How do you manage side effects like low blood sugar and irritation at the injection site? Thank you for sharing your experiences.

You should definitely talk to your doctor about any side effects you experience. I had some muscle cramps at first, and my doctor adjusted my dosage.

I've had some irritation at the injection site, but it's usually minor and goes away quickly. Make sure to clean the area thoroughly before injecting. Also, don't forget to keep your glucose tablets or juice handy for those low blood sugar moments.

I've been on Levemir for about a year now, and it's been a lifesaver. Make sure you're eating a balanced diet and getting regular exercise to manage weight gain and overall health. I've found that keeping a food diary and checking blood sugar levels regularly helps a lot.

Have you tried the Levemir FlexTouch? It's a bit more expensive, but the pen is easier to use and more accurate. I found it helped reduce injection pain.

Glad I stumbled on this post. How are you managing the weight gain? I've noticed some and would love a few tips.
