I've been prescribed Nexium 40mg Capsules (Esomeprazole) for my acid reflux and heartburn. It's been helping, but I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. Some of the urgent side effects listed seem pretty scary, like electrolyte problems and kidney issues. Has anyone else experienced any of these? The other possible side effects like headache and stomach pain seem more manageable. I just want to be prepared and know if anyone else has gone through this. I've been taking Nexium for a couple of months and haven't had any issues so far. Just make sure to take it as directed and you should be good.
I had to stop taking Nexium because of severe dizziness. It was really scary. If you start feeling really off, don't hesitate to call your doctor.
The only side effect I've had is dry mouth. It's annoying, but not a deal-breaker. Just keep some gum or candy handy.
