I took Nitrofurantoin for a UTI and had no side effects at all. I was lucky, I guess. The medication worked well, and I didn't have any issues. I think it's a good antibiotic for UTIs. Hopefully, you guys are able to manage the side effects better.
I took Nitrofurantoin for a UTI and I had bloody diarrhea. It was terrifying, and I had to go to the hospital to make sure I didn't have C. diff. Turns out, it was just a side effect of the medication. The doctor advised me on how to manage it, and I had to take other meditations to help clear that up. It was a nightmare, but I'm glad it wasn’t more serious.
I got a weird rash while taking this medicine. I had to go to the doctor and they told me to stop taking it right away. I wish there had been better information about what to do if you had a reaction like that. The doctor switched it to something else but it was scary.
I've taken Nitrofurantoin before and had no issues at all. It cleared up my UTI quickly, and I didn't experience any side effects. I think it's a great antibiotic for UTIs and definitely recommend it if your doctor prescribes it.
I had a really bad reaction to Nitrofurantoin. I started getting a rash and felt like my chest was tight. I had to go to the ER and they told me it was an allergic reaction. I was so scared because I didn't know if it was serious or not. I would never take it again.
