I've been taking Nortrel 7/7/7 for about six months now, and I've had some ups and downs. At first, the side effects were pretty rough—headaches, nausea, and some spotting. But after a couple of months, those seemed to settle down. I'm curious, has anyone else experienced this? Did it get better for you too? I've also heard about some more serious side effects, like blood clots and liver issues, and I'm a bit worried. Is anyone knowledgeable about these risks and how common they are? Also, I've gained a bit of weight, which isn't fun. Any tips on managing this? I'm really hoping to stick with this pill because it's been great for my skin and periods, but the weight gain is tough. Also, anyone else experience that weird darkening of the face? It's a bit embarrassing. On the plus side it is helping with my acne, but I'm not sure if it's worth the other side effects. How does anyone else feel about this?

I've been on Nortrel 7/7/7 for a year now, and the spotting stopped after the first few months. The weight gain is real, though. I've gained about 10 pounds. I'm trying to combat it with a stricter diet and more exercise. It's a pain, but my skin is so much clearer. Also, no issues with blood clots or liver problems here, thank goodness.

I've heard that the triphasic pills are better for some women. Has anyone tried this before? What's the difference?

I've been on it for a few months and so far so good. My periods are more regular, and my skin has improved. Just a bit of spotting here and there, but nothing too bad. I'm hoping that it stays this way! I'm so glad I don't have to deal with the PMS symptoms anymore.

I've actually had a really positive experience with Nortrel. No serious side effects, and my periods are lighter and more regular. I think it's worth sticking with if you can handle the initial side effects.

I wish they would come up with a version without the side effects. I'm so sick of feeling dizzy and getting headaches. Does anyone know if the pill affects your ability to get pregnant later on?

I had to stop using it because I started getting really bad nausea. It was so intense that I couldn't keep any food down. Unfortunately I got a blood clot on my leg a couple months later and it hurt like hell. I didn't know it was from the pill, but apparently it's a known risk. Now I'm scared of taking it again. Does anyone else have this risk?

I had some pretty bad migraines at first, but they stopped after a few months. My friend had a similar experience but her doctor gave her a higher dose of estrogen and it helped stop the migraines after a month. Not sure if it's worth getting a higher dose, but it works for her.

I've been on it for a couple of months and no issues except for a significantly heavier period one month. My doctor wasn't too worried about it but I'm not sure what to expect. Anyone else have this issue? How soon is it a problem?

I switched to a different pill because of the weight gain. It was too much for me to handle. I wish I had stuck with it because the acne was gone, but I just couldn't deal with how I looked.
