I've been using Nplate 125mcg Inj for about six months now to manage my chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). It's been a game-changer in terms of reducing my risk of bleeding, but I've also experienced some side effects that I wanted to share with others who might be considering or currently using this medication. The urgent side effects listed in the description are definitely something to be aware of, but I've mostly dealt with the common side effects like mouth irritation and stomach pain. I'd love to hear from others about their experiences and any tips they might have for managing these side effects.

This thread is a goldmine of info. The one thing I have noticed is that some people are really sensitive to the medication and have to stop taking it. If you start feeling really sick, don’t hesitate to call your doctor.

I just started Nplate and I'm already noticing some dizziness. Has anyone else experienced this? It's a bit unsettling.

I've heard that some people switch to other medications if Nplate doesn't work out. Anyone tried that? What were your results?

As someone who's been on this for a while, I can confirm that the side effects are manageable for me. The biggest issue is the cost. My insurance barely covers it, and it's a huge strain on my finances.

I had a really bad reaction to Nplate. I developed a rash and had trouble breathing. I had to go to the ER and they told me to stop taking it immediately. I was really hoping it would help my ITP, but it just wasn't worth the risk for me.

I think it’s important to note that everyone’s experience with Nplate can be different. While some people have severe side effects, others might not have any at all. It’s definitely worth discussing with your doctor.

I’m glad I found this thread. I’ve been on Nplate for a month and I’m cautiously optimistic. So far, the side effects have been mild, just some joint pain and trouble sleeping. My platelet counts are improving, though, so it’s a trade-off I’m willing to make.

I've had a few episodes of chest pain and shortness of breath, but my doctor said it's not likely related to the Nplate. Still, it's scary to think about.
