Has anyone else experienced breathing issues? I had a few scares where I felt like I couldn't get enough air. It was terrifying. Turns out, it was a side effect of the medication. I talked to my doctor and we reduced the dosage.
I was on Nucynta for a while but had to switch because of severe constipation. It was so bad, I ended up in the ER. I talked to my doctor and we decided to try another pain medication. Just be cautious and listen to your body.
Serotonin syndrome is no joke. I had to stop taking my antidepressants after switching to Nucynta. I had hallucinations and extreme anxiety. It was terrifying. Be very cautious if you are taking any other medications that affect serotonin levels.
