I've recently started taking Ocaliva 5mg Tablets for my primary biliary cholangitis (PBC). I'm curious to hear from others who are taking this medication. How has it helped with your symptoms? Have you experienced any side effects, and if so, how have you managed them? I've been feeling dizzy and tired lately, and I'm not sure if it's related to the medication. Any advice on coping mechanisms or insights would be greatly appreciated. Let's share our experiences and support each other!

I had a severe allergic reaction to Ocaliva. I swelled up like a balloon and had trouble breathing. I ended up in the ER, and they told me to never take it again. Everyone's body reacts differently, so it's important to be vigilant and talk to your doctor.

I agree! And if you're feeling really bad, you need to go to the ER and be evaluated. You should get the help you need now, not wait.

Be careful, but don't be afraid to talk to your doctor. Give it some time and don't switch meds yourself.

Don't forget to report any side effects to the FDA. The more data they have, the better they can help us in the long run. We have to look out for each other!

Wow, that's scary. I'm glad you're okay! I've had some mild itching, but nothing unbearable. I'll definitely keep an eye out for any serious side effects. Thanks for sharing!

I've been on Ocaliva for about 6 months now, and it's been a game-changer for managing my itching. No more constant scratching keeping me up at night! I did have some initial side effects like dry skin and joint pain, but my doctor adjusted my dose and it got better.

I wish I could say the same. I've had some serious thyroid issues since starting Ocaliva. I'm talking weight changes, sweating, and hair thinning. I'm still waiting to hear back from my doctor on this. It's been so frustrating!

So, what is the alternative if I'm scared to take this medication? There has to be something safe and effective, right?
