I was prescribed Ofloxacin 0.3% ophthalmic solution for a stubborn case of pink eye. It seems to be working, but I'm a bit worried about the side effects, especially the severe ones. I've been reading the documentation, and it mentions some pretty scary stuff like Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? Any tips on managing side effects or knowing when to seek medical help? Also, how common are issues like eye burning and irritation? I'm not sure what to expect.

Be careful with this stuff. I had a friend who had a severe reaction to it. It was scary, and she had to be hospitalized. Fortunately, she recovered, but it was a close call. I'd recommend keeping an eye out for any signs of an allergic reaction and contacting your doctor immediately if you notice anything.

Sounds like a nightmare but it's better than having an infection. Just keep an eye out for any weird symptoms. You'll be fine!

I had a similar experience with Ofloxacin. It helped clear up my conjunctivitis, but I did experience some eye irritation initially. I found that using artificial tears helped soothe the irritation. As for the severe side effects, I didn't encounter any, but it's good to be aware. If you notice anything unusual, don't hesitate to call your doctor.

Not sure why people are worried about pink eye. It's so common. I've had it loads of times. I don't think I've had Ofloxacin though.

I had this prescribed to me a few years ago. I had no issues with it whatsoever. I can't comment on the more severe side effects, but if it's worrying you that much, maybe talk to your doctor about alternative treatments?

I've used Ofloxacin before and found it to be quite effective. Just make sure to follow the dosage instructions carefully. It's also important to wash your hands thoroughly before and after using the drops to avoid contaminating the solution.
