I recently had an angiogram, and the doctor used Omnipaque 300mg/ml for the X-ray. It was a bit intimidating to receive the injection, but the procedure went smoothly. The nurse was very reassuring. The dye made me feel a bit warm, but that was the extent of my side effects. I thought I'd share my experience and see if others had similar outcomes or any warnings to share. Anyone else had any experiences with this dye and what to expect?

I just had this done for a CT scan and I was worried about the side effects. The nurse told me they were rare and I should just focus on getting the info I needed from the test. It worked out okay for me.

The tissue damage part is what gets me. If the dye leaks out of the vein, it can cause serious issues. Make sure the healthcare provider is experienced!

I think the healthcare provider should be more transparent about the risks. My dad had a severe allergic reaction and it was terrifying.

I'm actually on the fence about how safe this stuff is. The side effects listed are scary. Anyone had any serious reactions? I'm getting a bit worried now.

I've had this dye twice and had no issues. I don't think it's anything to worry about too much, but everyone is different, right?

I think it's important to remember that these side effects are rare, but knowing them is crucial. Always ask your doctor about what to expect and how to recognize an allergic reaction.

If you notice any kind of wheezing or trouble breathing, get immediate medical attention. It could save your life. I had a friend who was lucky to be near a hospital when she got an allergic reaction.

I had a bad reaction and ended up with some severe skin issues. It took weeks to fully recover. Definitely something to be aware of.
