I've been prescribed Ondansetron 4mg Tablets for nausea after my recent surgery. I've heard it's great for preventing and treating nausea and vomiting, but I'm a bit worried about the side effects. Has anyone here taken this medication? What was your experience like? Did you encounter any of the serious side effects mentioned, like serotonin syndrome or abnormal heartbeat? I'd love to hear your stories or any tips you might have for managing side effects. For those who've taken it after chemotherapy or radiation, how effective was it? I'm curious about how it compares to other anti-nausea medications you might have tried.

I've heard a lot of good things about Ondansetron, but I've also heard about some serious side effects. Anyone have any advice on alternatives? I'm not sure if I want to risk it.

Itching and hives -that's the worst. My mom had an allergic reaction to it. So be careful and if you notice anything off, go to the doctor immediately.

To be fair, it worked like a charm for me with no side effects. I had a bit of diarrhea, but that was it. Trust me, if you need it, you'll be okay.

I'm surprised this drug doesn't get more love. I take it for morning sickness and it stops the nausea cold. No side effects either.

I had an intense reaction to Ondansetron. I thought I was gonna die. I was sweating like crazy, had a high fever, and felt like I was gonna have a heart attack. I had to go to the ER. You can report severe reactions to the FDA at 1-800-332-1088.

I had a bad reaction to Ondansetron. I started feeling really weird, like I couldn't pass urine and dizzy. Turns out I had serotonin syndrome. Scary stuff, so be careful with it.

I took Ondansetron for a few days after my surgery, and it helped a lot with the nausea. But I did experience some anxiety, which was a bit unsettling. Just be aware that it can happen.

I took Ondansetron after my chemotherapy sessions, and it worked wonders for my nausea. I did get a bit sleepy, but nothing too bad. Just be sure to sit and stand up slowly to avoid dizziness.

I had a friend who took Ondansetron and she said it was a lifesaver. She had some mild headaches, but she was happy with the results overall. I plan to suggest it to my dad for his upcoming surgery if he gets nauseated.

'Ive seen firsthand the terrors of torsades de pointes. Make sure you get a baseline ECG before starting any meds that can cause QT-prolongation. It's a lifesaver!
