We recently started our 8-year-old on Onyda XR for ADHD. It's been a game-changer in terms of focus and behavior, but the side effects have been a bit challenging. Wondering if other parents have had similar experiences and if you have any tips for managing them. For example, the dry mouth and stomach pain can be tough. Have any of you found strategies that work? Also, I'm curious about long-term use and any insights on how it might affect my child's sleep patterns. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences!

I’ve heard that some kids on ADHD meds can get really irritable. Has anyone experienced this with Onyda XR, and if so, how did you handle it? We're on the lookout for any changes in behavior.

Dry mouth is a bummer, but using sugarless gum or hard candy can help. Also, staying hydrated is key. We keep a water bottle handy at all times. For dizziness, make sure your child is getting up slowly from sitting or lying down to avoid fainting spells. Finally, always inform your doctor about any persistent side effects, even if they seem minor.

Has anyone else noticed unusual dreams or nightmares? My kid has been waking up in the middle of the night from vivid and scary dreams. It’s a bit alarming.

We've had a positive experience overall. The focus improvement is noticeable, and the bedtime dosing works well for our routine. But we did have to adjust the dosage a bit to balance the side effects with the benefits. I’d suggest communicating closely with your pediatrician during the initial adjustment period.

Please be vigilant about the severe side effects. I spoke with our doctor, and they emphasized the importance of monitoring for allergic reactions and abnormal heart rhythms. It's scary to think about, but better safe than sorry.

We've been on Onyda XR for a few months now, and the constipation has been a big issue. Increasing fiber intake and making sure they drink plenty of water has helped a bit, but it's still something we're monitoring closely. Have you tried any specific remedies or adjustments in your child’s diet for this issue?
