I was prescribed Osmitrol Viaflex 20% Inj Sol 500ml last week to manage increased pressure in my eyes, and I was really worried about the side effects. I've since found these ingredients and effects in recent studies released by medical journals and it seems like many others have concerns as well. I've been trying to keep a close eye on any changes in my urine output and any signs of an allergic reaction, as the medication sheet warns. Has anyone else had to deal with Osmitrol and what was your experience? I'd love to hear some stories, positive or negative. Hopefully, we can help each other out with some tips, or at least, I hope it helps to share. I can't believe how many possible side effects there are. I was really surprised by the list and needed to do further research to understand what some of them meant.

I had to take this to reduce brain swelling after a head injury. It worked well for me, but I did experience some of the side effects. I noticed a lot of muscle weakness and dry mouth for a few days. However, these were minor when compared to the swelling in my brain. I made sure to drink a lot of water and rest as much as possible. It's important to follow your doctor's advice and monitor your health closely.

Stay strong and hope for the best! Remember, everyone's experience can be different and you should discuss any side effects and concerns with your doctor. I've had serious side effects from other drugs before so I've learned to be very careful.

I've had to take this twice now and the second time I felt weak and dizzy after it started working. I was so out of it that I could barely talk. My doctor said it might be due to the fluid and electrolyte imbalance, but I was so confused too. I made sure to rest and drink a lot of fluids to regulate my electrolytes and felt better after a few days. But then I had a bad headache and I still feel twitchy. It's been a rough experience, but it's better than the alternative. I had to use a walker for a few days because I couldn't walk without feeling dizzy. I was so weak that my daughter had to help me get around.

This drug can cause your blood pressure to go up or down. I've had to deal with this and it feels terrible. I know that it's important to have my blood pressure checked regularly and to talk to my doctor about any changes if necessary.

I work in a hospital, and we use Osmitrol often for patients with brain injuries or increased eye pressure. It's effective, but as with any medication, it requires careful monitoring. I've seen patients experience a range of side effects, from mild to severe. Always communicate openly with your healthcare team. I've had several patients in the past who were quite surprised when we explained this to them. Some would have thought they knew best.
