I recently started using Otrexup 25mg/0.4ml Pf Inj for my severe rheumatoid arthritis. The medication has been helping with the inflammation, but I've been really worried about the side effects. The list of potential issues is pretty long, and I'm not sure what to do if I experience any of them. I've been carefully monitoring for signs of infection, bleeding, or any allergic reactions, but it's still nerve-wracking. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? How have you managed the side effects and what are some tips for staying safe while using it? Also, is it common to experience common issues like fatigue or hair loss? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen some serious side effects in myself. My kidney function went down a bit but it was reversible. Make sure to take regular blood tests for liver and kidney function if you are on this medication.

Anyone know if there are any alternative treatments? I'm really struggling with this one.

Dont worry so much. The chances of getting serious side effects are low and it's great if the medication is working for you.

I've been on Otrexup for a while now and I can tell you that the common side effects like fatigue and hair loss are pretty manageable. Just make sure to stay hydrated and take it easy on the days you feel weaker. Also, common cold symptoms are pretty normal. As for the more serious side effects, keep a close eye on any unusual symptoms and always consult your doctor if something feels off.

I was on Otrexup for a few months last year. The injection was a bit of a hassle at first, but I got used to it. The biggest issue I had was with the nausea. I found that taking the injection in the evening helped a lot, and eating a light snack before the injection also made a difference. Also, make sure to report any side effects to your doctor and the FDA if they are serious.

Wow, that side effect list is scary. I'm glad I'm not on it but it sucks for those who have to deal with it.

It's important to stay in close contact with your healthcare provider while on this medication. They can help monitor your symptoms and adjust your dosage if needed. Also, consider keeping a symptom journal to track any issues and discuss them with your doctor.
