I was prescribed Oxiconazole Nitrate 1% Cream 90gm to treat a stubborn case of ringworm on my foot. I had tried over-the-counter remedies with no luck, so my doctor recommended this prescription-strength cream. I've been using it for about a week now, and I've noticed a significant improvement in the redness and itching. The application is simple: just a small amount on the affected area twice a day. However, I did experience some minor irritation at the site of application, which the pharmacist mentioned was a common side effect. I'm glad I found this thread because I want to know if anyone has experienced any long-term side effects or if the irritation will go away. Also, I'm curious about the best way to apply the cream to ensure it's effective. For example, should I wash my hands afterward or let it soak in? I'd love to hear from anyone who’s used this cream before.

I had heard it worked well for athlete's foot. I might try it for the fungal infection on my feet.

I had a similar experience with Oxiconazole. It cleared up my athlete's foot in no time. Just make sure to apply it consistently as prescribed. Also, avoid tight-fitting shoes to help with airflow around the infected area.

I think it's important to note that while this cream is effective, it can also cause severe allergic reactions in some people. Always read the side effects carefully and monitor for any signs of a bad reaction.

Did you try any other remedies after you stopped using Oxiconazole?
