I've been prescribed Oxycod/aceta 5mg/325mg Oral Solution for severe chronic pain, and while it helps, I'm worried about the side effects. I've seen the list, but I'd like to hear from others who have taken this. Are the side effects as bad as they seem? Any tips from those who've been through it? What does your experience look like? How did you manage them? Is it worth the pain relief?

Could be worse, at least it's not as bad as some other opioids. Also, do you take the pills or the liquid? I heard the liquid is stronger.

I can deal with constipation and sleepiness, but the breathing difficulties were a deal-breaker for me. I had to switch to something else. Talk to your doc about those, too

As long as you monitor your liver and stay hydrated, you should be fine. If you haven't checked your liver enzymes, you might want to push this with your doctor.

I've been on it for months and the side effects are manageable, though I get pretty sleepy sometimes. I wish my doctor we gave me a heads up about that. The worst part is the dizziness, but a doctor said that'll go away after a few weeks.

I was on this for a while after a bad accident. The pain relief was incredible, but the constipation was brutal. I had to switch to a different painkiller just to deal with that.

Oh man, I had a friend who took this and ended up in the ER with some crazy allergic reaction. Scary stuff. I'd be careful, especially with the liver problems. Might want to get regular blood tests to monitor that.

I found that taking it with food helped a lot with the stomach issues. Might be worth a shot if you're having trouble.
