I recently received a prescription for Oxycodone/acetaminophen 2.5-325 tablets for severe back pain, but I'm hesitant to take them because of the risks. I've heard about the dangers of opioids and I'm scared of becoming addicted. Has anyone else used this medication, and if so, what was your experience? I want to make sure I understand all the side effects, especially since it contains acetaminophen, which I know can be tough on the liver. I'd really appreciate any advice on how to manage this safely.

I had no side effects except drowsiness, but I was so careful. I would only take it when I absolutely needed it and never more than prescribed. Also, I kept it in a safe place—these things can be stolen and abused.

It's important to monitor your liver function while on this. I had to get regular blood tests to make sure everything was okay. It's a hassle, but it's worth it for your health.

I was prescribed this for post-surgery pain and it helped tremendously, but I made sure to take it exactly as directed. The dizziness was awful at first, but it went away after a few days. Just be cautious and follow your doctor's advice.

I wish more people knew about the risks of these meds. My friend ended up in the hospital with breathing problems after taking oxycodone. It's scary stuff.

Be very careful with this stuff. I know someone who got hooked and it ruined their life. If you can, try to find alternatives or at least use it as a last resort.

Take it only as needed and don't try to stretch out the prescription. Trust me, the withdrawal symptoms are brutal if you get dependent on it.

I think the biggest danger is mixing it with other meds or alcohol. Always check with your doctor before combining anything. Safety first.
