I'm currently receiving Palonosetron injections to manage nausea and vomiting after chemotherapy treatments. The drug has been helpful, but I'm a bit concerned about the potential side effects, especially the allergic reactions and serotonin syndrome. Has anyone else had experience with this? I'm curious to hear about your experiences and any advice you might have. I am also wondering if the brand name, Aloxi, might be the same medicine and if anyone has any experience with that? Is it worth switching to a different medication? Or should I stick with Palonosetron?

I had a friend who was taking Palonosetron, and he developed a bad case of dizziness and chest pain. It was a scary experience. He tried it one time then decided to pursue other options.

I've had no problem with Palonosetron. Just stick to the dosage and you'll be fine. If you're worried about side effects, just keep an eye out for anything unusual. Good luck with your treatment!

You brought up a good point about serious side effects. If something feels wrong, always get it checked out ASAP, that's an important lesson.

Palonosetron saved my life after surgery, I have no idea with what it would have been like to suffer through that recovery without it.

I had to be rushed to the ER after getting my first injection of Palonosetron. I noticed a bunch of rashing everywhere on my body. Experienced a lot of swelling on my face. It was terrifying, but ended up being fine after some immediate medical attention. If I could avoid it, I would definitely consider an alternative. Do you have any other meds you're considering?
