I wish there was more information out there about the long-term effects. I’ve been looking for studies but haven’t found much. If anyone has data or personal experiences, please share. It would help me feel more at ease about this!

Just a warning, we didn't experience any serious side effects, but the injection site irritation was pretty bad at first. We had to switch to a different injection spot and use some numbing cream, which helped a lot. Stick with it, though—it gets better with time.
I've been giving my son Lupron for about 6 months. I have to say, if it's working, it's worth the trouble and expense. However, the cost is ridiculously high. We've had to fight with insurance a few times to get it covered. But aside from the financial strain, it's been worth it to see the puberty development slow down. No serious side effects, just a few hot flashes and some upset stomachs, but nothing major. Definitely worth it in our case.
