I didn't have any major side effects, just some mild dizziness and a bit of weight gain. But it's been a game-changer for my OCD. I feel like I can finally function normally again.
Serotonin syndrome is no joke. I know someone who ended up in the hospital because of it. Make sure you talk to your doctor about any other medications or supplements you're taking.
Give it a bit more time. It can take up to 4-6 weeks for the body to adjust to the medication fully.
I've been on Paroxetine for a few years now, and it's been a lifesaver for my anxiety. I had some initial side effects like dizziness and drowsiness, but they went away after a few weeks. Just give it time and stay in touch with your doctor.
How long did it take for the side effects to go away for you guys? I'm on week 3 and still feeling pretty off.
My biggest issue with Paroxetine was the sexual side effects. It's something I wish I had known more about before starting the medication.
