I've been taking Paroxetine ER 12.5mg Tablets for a few months now to manage my anxiety, and while it's helped a lot, I've also experienced some side effects. I wanted to start this thread to share my experience and ask if anyone else has had similar issues, especially with serotonin syndrome. The drug works by balancing serotonin levels, which has improved my mood and sleep, but I've also dealt with some nasty nausea, dizziness, and even some weight loss. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced these side effects or if there are ways to mitigate them. Additionally, I've read about the risk of serotonin syndrome, which is terrifying. I want to hear from others about their experiences and any tips for managing this medication effectively.

I've been on Paroxetine for years and it's been great for my PMDD. The side effects were mild and went away after a few weeks. Don't give up on it if you're having a rough start.

Anyone else feel like their brain is in a fog? I struggled with memory problems and difficulty focusing at the beginning. It got better over time, but it was tough.

I'm on Paroxetine too and have had some similar side effects. The dizziness was bad at first, but it got better after a few weeks. Just be patient and consult your doctor. You might want to take it with food to help with the nausea. Good luck!

Serotonin syndrome is no joke. I had a friend who ended up in the hospital because of it. If you start feeling agitated, confused, or have a rapid heartbeat, get to a doctor immediately.

I switched to the extended-release version and it made a huge difference. The side effects were much more manageable. NEVER STOP taking the medication suddenly, though. Talk to your doctor first.
