Hi everyone, I've been prescribed Paxil 20mg Tablets for my anxiety and it's been a rollercoaster. I've heard a lot about the side effects, some of which sound pretty scary. Has anyone else experienced anything weird or concerning? I've been feeling pretty dizzy and tired lately, and I'm not sure if it's the medication or just my anxiety acting up. I've also read about serotonin syndrome and that sounds terrifying. I want to hear from anyone who has taken this med—what was your experience like? Did you have any side effects, and if so, how did you deal with them? I'm also curious about how long it took for Paxil to start working for you. Thanks in advance for any info you can share!

Serotonin syndrome is no joke. I had a friend who ended up in the hospital because of it. Make sure you’re not taking any other meds that increase serotonin levels. Always good to double-check with your doctor.

Paxil saved my life when I was going through a really dark time and the side effects didn’t bother me that much. I’m glad you’re reaching out and asking questions—it’s important to stay informed!

I found Paxil really helped with my panic attacks, but the sexual side effects were a huge bummer. It’s worth talking to your doctor about adjusting the dose or switching meds if it gets too bad.

I've been on Paxil for a year now and it's been great for my anxiety. I had some weird dreams at first, but that went away after a few weeks. Just keep an eye on how you're feeling and talk to your doctor if anything seems off.

I was on Paxil for a while and it helped with my OCD, but the side effects were rough. I had the shakes, sweating, and just felt generally unwell for the first few weeks. However, it did get better and I felt a lot better after 3 months! I’d recommend sticking with it for a bit if you can, but definitely talk to your doc if it’s too much.

I totally get the dizzy and tired feeling. It took me about 6 weeks to start feeling normal again. Hang in there, it might just take some time for your body to adjust.

I took Paxil for a few years and it was a lifesaver, but I had some pretty gnarly withdrawal symptoms when I stopped. Definitely taper off if you decide to quit, and don’t just stop cold turkey.

I tried Paxil and it just didn’t agree with me. The weight loss felt scary and I was having some really bad headaches. I switched to something else and it’s been much better. Everyone’s different, so if this one doesn’t work out, don’t worry!
