I've been dealing with cold sores for years, and Penciclovir 1% Cream has been a game-changer. I usually get an outbreak once every few months, but with this cream, the sores heal so much faster and the pain is much more manageable. I apply it as soon as I feel that tingling sensation, and it usually clears up within a week. However, I did experience some minor irritation at the application site, but it went away quickly. I've heard some horror stories about allergic reactions, so I'm always cautious. Has anyone else had a similar experience with Penciclovir, or any other antiviral creams? How do you manage side effects and prevent future outbreaks?

I had a pretty bad reaction to Penciclovir. I started getting hives and my throat felt tight. Have any of you had something similar happen?

I’ve found that stress and lack of sleep are big triggers for my cold sores. I make sure to get enough rest and manage my stress levels to prevent outbreaks. Have any of you found that lifestyle changes make a difference?

I had a bad reaction to Penciclovir. I started getting hives and my throat felt tight. Thankfully, I sought medical help right away, but I'll be avoiding this cream in the future. Always better to be safe!

How soon do you usually start applying the cream? I've heard that starting early can make a big difference. I always start as soon as I feel that tingle.

I had a great experience with Penciclovir. The irritation was minor and went away quickly. I’ve tried different antiviral creams, and this one is by far the best for healing and reducing pain. It’s worth the minor side effects, in my opinion.
