I've been on Perjeta for a while now, and I wanted to share my experience with it. It's been a rollercoaster, but I hope my insights can help others. This targeted cancer medicine is a game-changer for HER2-positive breast cancer, but it's not without its challenges. I've had some pretty intense side effects, and I want to talk about them. I've also had to deal with some of the urgent symptoms. I wish I had a better understanding of what to expect before I started. I've got tips and advice for anyone going through this. Let's start a discussion about Perjeta—your experiences, your questions, and your advice are all welcome here.

I've experienced mouth sores during my treatment. It was incredibly painful, and I had trouble eating. The doctor prescribed a medicated mouthwash and some painkillers, which helped, but it was a rough few weeks.

I've been on Perjeta for a few months now, and it's been a tough journey. The infusion process is straightforward, but the side effects can be brutal. I've been lucky not to have any of the urgent side effects, but the fatigue and weakness are real. My doctor suggested some lifestyle changes to help manage these, like a balanced diet and regular low-impact exercise, but sometimes I just want to sleep all day. Has anyone else found any coping mechanisms that help?

I’ve been worried about infections. Is anyone else having any issues like that? Just want to be prepared if it happens.

Hang in there! I've heard great things about Perjeta's effectiveness, so hopefully, it's working well for you. I've had a friend who had a similar experience with it. Make sure to talk to your doctor about any side effects you're experiencing. They might be able to adjust your dosage or prescribe something to help mitigate them.

I was on Perjeta for a year, and while it was tough, I'm glad I stuck with it. The infusion process wasn't bad, just a few hours every few weeks. The worst part was the tumor lysis syndrome symptoms. It was terrifying at first, but my doctor knew exactly what to do. I had to stay in the hospital for a few days for IV fluids and close monitoring, but I made it through. Now, a year post-treatment, I'm feeling better than ever. Take it one day at a time, and remember that your body is fighting a battle every day.
