Personal experience with Cefazolin 10gm Inj, 1 Vial for severe skin infection. Any similar experiences?
I was recently prescribed Cefazolin 10gm Inj, 1 Vial for a severe skin infection. The doctor mentioned it's often used for such cases and also for bone and joint infections, and even before surgery to prevent infections. I've had it for a few days now and while it seems to be working, I'm a bit concerned about the side effects, especially the severe ones. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? Any tips or anecdotes would be greatly appreciated, as well as any info on the side effects, diarreah, and how long I should expect those to last?

I've had Cefazolin before and it worked wonders for my bone infection. Just make sure to stay hydrated and listen to your body. If something feels off, don't hesitate to call your doctor.
I'm not a doctor, but from what I've read, the side effects usually go away after the course of treatment. Just make sure to finish all the medication even if you feel better.
I had C. diff-associated diarrhea with a similar antibiotic. If you get bad diarrhea, talk to your doctor immediately. It’s not fun and can be dangerous.
I had a bad reaction to it—ended up with a nasty rash. Definitely keep an eye out for any signs of an allergic reaction. Better safe than sorry!
I had Cefazolin before surgery to prevent infections. It was a smooth process, and I didn't experience any major side effects. You should be fine!
I’ve had Cefazolin a few times and it’s always worked well for me. Just remember to take it easy and give your body time to heal.
Always funny how antibiotics can mess with your stomach. I remember my doctor told me to eat yogurt to help with the diarrhea. It actually worked! Might be worth a shot.
