Phenergan VC Plain Syrup: My Experience and What I've Learned

I've been using Phenergan VC Plain Syrup for the past week to help with my cold symptoms, and I have to say, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster. The medication contains Promethazine and Phenylephrine, which are great for relieving sneezing, runny nose, and stuffiness, but I've experienced some side effects that I wasn't expecting.

The pharmacy warnings about Serious Side Effects are definitely real and they can be scary. I've had some dizziness and drowsiness, which isn't great when I have to work, but the biggest concern is the potential for severe allergic reactions. I made sure to keep an eye out for any signs of an allergic reaction, like rash, hives, or swelling. I had a moment of sheer panic until I realized my skin was just irritated from too much hand washing (a new habit that I hope to keep) and I'm not allergic to this stuff.

I'm also worried about the potential for Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome (NMS). While rare, the symptoms are serious and scary. I had a fever once and it felt like my muscles were cramping up but that turned out to be a really bad muscle cramp I got from exercise.
