Phenobarbital 60mg Tablets: Experience, Side Effects, and Tips
I was prescribed Phenobarbital 60mg Tablets for controlling seizures and anxiety. It's been a few weeks, and while it does help, I've noticed some side effects. I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. What have your experiences been like? Have you encountered any unusual side effects, and how did you manage them? Any tips for coping with dizziness or sleepiness? I'd appreciate any insights or advice on handling them. Thanks!

I've been on Phenobarbital for a year now. It definitely helps with my seizures, but the dizziness was tough at first. I found that taking it right before bed helped a lot. Also, make sure to avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how it affects you. It's a game-changer for sleep, though!
I’ve had a few bad dreams, but nothing too intense. Other than that, Phenobarbital has been a good ride for me. I guess we’re all different in how we react.
For anyone new to Phenobarbital, be prepared for the sleepiness. I started feeling very groggy and had to take a few days off work. My doctor advised me to stick with it for a few weeks to see if my body adjusts. It did, but I still need naps in the afternoon.
I've been on Phenobarbital for a few months and the sleepiness is real! But the seizures have stopped, so I guess it’s a trade-off. I just make sure to schedule light activities for the first few hours after taking it. It's also been great for my anxiety. It’s a blessing despite the dizziness.
I've had to deal with severe dizziness and feeling weak. I was also out of commission for the first week. The good news is, it got better. Talk to your doctor. They may have some strategies to cope with the side effects.
I had to switch to a different medication. The severe dizziness was unbearable and I couldn’t function. It was a shame because the 60mg did control the seizures well.
I started taking Phenobarbital a few months ago and had similar side effects. It's also been a good way to sleep. But I’ve felt so wobbly that I had to install grab bars in the bathroom and keep a chair next to the bed. Drinking lots of water helped a bit with the dizziness, but it’s still a struggle.
OMG, the hallucinations...not fun.
