I've been prescribed Phenoxybenzamine 10mg Capsules for my pheochromocytoma, and I wanted to start a thread to discuss my experience with this medication. I've read the literature about its effectiveness in relaxing blood vessels. Is anyone else taking this for high blood pressure or pheochromocytoma? Let's discuss side effects, dosing, and overall efficacy. What are the most common side effects you've experienced, and how do you manage them? I've mostly experienced dizziness when standing up, but I'm curious about other possible side effects — especially the more serious ones mentioned in the documentation.

This thread has been so helpful. I wasn't sure what to expect when I started Phenoxybenzamine, but hearing from others has given me a lot of useful info. I have been avoiding reading reviews on internet and I am so glad that I found this. This is a safe community to share personal experiences. Now I know I'm not alone in experiencing some of these side effects and that there are ways to manage them. I've heard of people not taking their medication because of this. I hope this does not happen to anyone in the future.

Definitely agree that reporting side effects is important. I had an allergic reaction once and it was scary. My doctor told me it was due to an unknown allergy to this medication. I hope others will also report the side effects as the FDA needs real-time user experience for better drug regulation.

I just started Phenoxybenzamine, and the dizziness is real. Any tips on how to manage it?

I've been on Phenoxybenzamine for a few months now, and while it's helped with my blood pressure, I've had some pretty intense drowsiness. It's definitely affected my daily routine. Any tips on managing this? I've also had some nasal congestion but nothing too bad.
