I've been taking Poly Hist Fo 10.5-10 Tablets to manage my allergy symptoms, and while it has helped with my sneezing and runny nose, I've been feeling extremely drowsy and dizzy. I know doxylamine in the medicine can cause drowsiness, but is this normal? I've been trying to avoid driving or operating heavy machinery, but it feels so torturous because I'm a truck driver and it has been really messing up my schedule. Anyone else have this experience with Poly Hist Fo 10.5-10? Or have you had a different side effect? I'm curious how others are handling the possible side effects. I keep hearing about the serious ones, but is there a way to know for certain if you're going to have a reaction or not?

Glad you asked this question, I've been wondering about this too. I took these pills for my allergies and had a pretty severe headache the next day. I kept taking them because I didn't know it could be the medicine; I thought it was just a regular headache. And then I got an odd rash on my arm the next day, so I stopped and my doctor told me my reactions were to the medication. It was scary, but at least I can feel safe now that I'm not taking it.
I've had similar issues with drowsiness as well. It's a bit annoying during the day, but it helps me sleep at night! Maybe you could try taking it at night?
I took these for a few days and was riding high, I know that's not supposed to happen, I think I would have just gotten into an accident if I had kept on driving with these. Got so incredibly irritated because I couldn't sleep at night. It was so aggravating to feel so wired. I stopped taking it and went to the doctor and got something else.
I think the drowsiness is pretty common. I took it for a few days and felt like I was walking around in a fog. I switched to something else and felt much better.
I take it before bed, works great for me with no side effects. But I hear if you drink alcohol with it, you could get a bad reaction, so be careful if you’re taking it with drinks or anything
Side effects can vary widely from person to person. I took these for a week and had no issues at all. Just make sure to consult your doctor if you experience any severe side effects.
I took these for a few days and got such bad dizziness that I couldn’t stand up without feeling like the room was spinning. I stopped taking them and it went away. Not worth it for me.
