Poly-Vite Drops: Are they safe and effective for your children?
I've been giving my 18 month old Poly-Vite Drops for the past few months as his diet isn't very varied. I'm wondering if anyone else has had experience with this supplement? Is it really necessary, or is it just a marketing gimmick? Has anyone had any side effects? I'm particularly concerned about the potential for allergic reactions listed on the bottle. Also, how do I know it's actually helping him? Has anyone had any measurable success with their children? I'd love to hear from experts or parents who have experience with these drops.

I gave my son Poly-Vite Drops for about a month, and he had severe stomach issues the entire time. It was awful, and I stopped giving it to him immediately. My advice? Talk to your pediatrician before starting any vitamins for your baby, and be aware of any signs of adverse reactions.
I've been giving my daughter Poly-Vite Drops for about 6 months now, and I've noticed a big difference in her energy levels and overall health. No side effects yet, so I'm happy with it. I also wanted to mention that my pediatrician recommended them because she was a very picky eater. My kiddo loves the taste and it doesn't cause any stomach upset.
I'm an RN and I've seen a lot of parents give their kids random supplements thinking it will help with immunity. It's ALWAYS best to consult with your pediatrician. There are better options for ensuring your child has everything they need.
Has your pediatrician explicitly told you to give it? Otherwise I strongly recomend not wasting money on stuff that isn't well substantiated by science. Also, I would be careful with the dosage instructions. I gave my kid half the dose recommended by the instructions, and had diarrhea for a few days.
I was told by my pediatrician to give my kiddo Poly-Vite Drops after she was diagnosed with a vitamin deficiency. I've noticed a significant improvement in her health and energy levels since then, so I'm really happy with it.

Good luck! I don’t think it's necessary unless you have a very specific problem. As long as your baby is eating a balanced diet, they should get all the vitamins they need. I had a hard time believing the ‘Vite’ addition in the name was worth it.
Poly-Vite Drops have been great for my little one. I've noticed a big improvement in her energy levels. I would recommend it but always consult your pediatrician before starting any new supplement.
Didn’t your pediatrician recommend a food supplement over this? I've been giving her a multivitamin powder designed to be mixed with food, and she doesn't get any 'side effects' from it.
My pediatrician recommended Poly-Vite Drops for my 2-year-old because she was deficient in certain vitamins. I've noticed a big improvement in her overall health and energy levels. Plus, she actually enjoys the taste, which is a plus!
