I’ve been dealing with chronic constipation for a while now and recently started using Polyethylene Glycol 3350 Powder 510gm. I was relieved to finally find something that works, but after reading the side effects I'm wondering if I should worry about the rare but serious ones.

Does anyone have experience with this stuff? Any horror stories or reassurances are appreciated.

I'm also curious about the best way to mix it. The instructions aren't super clear on the liquid-to-powder ratio. Anyone know the perfect combo?

I've tried everything—prunes, Metamucil, you name it. This stuff is a godsend, but I'm paranoid about the potential side effects, especially the ones that require immediate medical attention.

Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated!

I've never had any issues with it, but I always make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day. It works differently for everyone, so just pay attention to your body.

I don't even get why people use this stuff. Just eat more fiber, drink more water, and exercise. Problem solved. You don't need magic powders.

I’m really glad I found this thread. I’ve been on this for a couple of weeks and it’s helped a lot. I mix it with about 8 oz of water and it works great. I’ve had a bit of stomach cramps, but nothing too bad. I’ve also read that taking a probiotic can help balance out the gut flora and prevent some of the side effects. It’s worth a try if you’re experiencing discomfort.

I found that taking it at night works best for me. I mix it with apple juice for a fruity twist, and by morning, I’m good to go. No issues so far.

I think the key is to start with a lower dose and gradually increase it until you find what works best for you. I started with half the recommended dose and it worked perfectly without any side effects. Give it a try, you can always adjust!
