Potassium Chlor 10% Liq (20meq/15ml): My Experience and Side Effects Discussion
I've been taking Potassium Chlor 10% Liq (20meq/15ml) for a few weeks now to manage my low potassium levels. I've found it to be quite effective, but I can't shake the feeling of unease when reading the laundry list of side effects. I'm not sure I feel comfortable with this drug at all. I've been on potassium chloride for a few months now and I haven't experienced any major side effects, but I did have some minor stomach discomfort at first. I think the trick is to take it with food and drink plenty of water.
I had a pretty bad reaction to this medication. I started breaking out in hives and my throat felt really tight. I immediately went to the ER and they gave me an IV of something to counteract the reaction. I was lucky I didn't have any kind of serious anaphylaxis reaction, though. Needless to say, I won't be taking this again.
I've been taking this medication for a while and I've had consistent stomach pain. However, I've discovered that a good probiotic has helped me quite a bit. It's worth a shot if you're having issues with your stomach pain or diarrhea.
Ugh, I hate the way this stuff tastes. It's so nauseating. I've resorted to holding my nose and chugging it. Has anyone figured out a way to mask the flavor?
This stuff is amazing. I've had no side effects at all.
I have been taking this for a few weeks now and I feel amazing! No side effects at all, just feeling better than I have in years.
I've been on this med for a while and I get the stomach aches every time. I've found that drinking it with a full glass of water and waiting about 20 minutes before eating helps me out a lot. It's frustrating to have to schedule my meals around the meds but it beats the alternative.
