I started taking Micro-K 8meq CR Capsules a few weeks ago as my doctor recommended it for low potassium levels. I've noticed some pretty bad gas, but I'm not sure if it's worth it or if I'm experiencing unusual side effects. I've been trying to figure out if this is a common side effect. Can anyone share their experience or tips to mitigate these side effects? I'd like to know about how well they work, and how well they work for people with similar issues to mine. The description and possible side effects are listed above in the title, but I haven't experienced anything as severe as those symptoms yet.

I had no idea potassium supplements could cause such issues. I've never had issues with my potassium levels, so I didn't know much about these drugs. I've heard that bananas can help with potassium levels, so I might try eating more of those instead.

I had to stop taking these because the gas was unbearable. My doctor switched me to a different potassium supplement and I felt much better.

I switched to a liquid potassium supplement and it helped with the gas. Might be worth a try if the pills are too much.

Gas is common with potassium supplements. I take mine at night so I don't notice it as much.

I've been on these for months and the gas is ridiculous, but it's worth it for me. I recommend taking them with food and plenty of water. It helped me a lot.
