Prandimet 1-500mg Tablets: My Experience and Some Questions
I've been prescribed Prandimet 1-500mg Tablets for my type 2 diabetes and have had a few questions as well as some observations along the way. The combination of repaglinide and metformin seems to be helping, but I've experienced some side effects. I'm wondering if anyone else has had issues with stomach problems or low blood sugar that may not be going away. Have any of you also had to adjust your diet or exercise routines to better manage your blood sugar? Also, I'd love to hear from anyone who has been on this medication for a long time. What's your experience been like? I'm trying to figure out if these side effects will go away with time and as I adjust to the medication.

I've been on Prandimet for a while and I've had no issues. I did hear that you can eat an apple if you are having a hypoglycemic attack because it is a fruit with a low glycemic index. It does seem to work. Good luck everyone.
I've been on Prandimet for a few months now and I'm noticing some weird skin reactions. I'm not sure if it's related, but I'm going to bring it up with my doctor. I'd hate to have to stop taking it. It's working great for me, I hope I'm not having some sort of allergic reaction. I've had the same rash on my back and stomach for the past 3 weeks and it itches like crazy.
I just started Prandimet and I'm already feeling the side effects. I'm hoping they go away. I'm not sure what to do if they don't, but I'm afraid to call my doctor. I'm too embarrassed to say my stomach problems may be a sign of lactic acidosis. It's a serious condition, what if they tell me to stop the medication?
I've had some stomach issues, but nothing I can't handle. I'm just glad to finally have a medication that works for me. I've tried so many and this is the first one that's made a real difference. The stomach problems are only a small price to pay. I just wish they'd go away faster.
I switched to Prandimet from another medication and haven't looked back. It's been a game-changer for me. I'm actually looking forward to my meals instead of dreading them. I highly recommend it. But do pay attention to what your body is telling you. Everyone is different and maybe you need a higher dose of something (like the repaglinide) or something else entirely. I recommend talking to your doctor or a specialist.
I've had to carry glucose tablets everywhere I go. Low blood sugar hits me out of nowhere sometimes. I keep them in my bag, my car, and even at home, all over the house. But I'll also say my energy levels are way better than before. I'm not constantly exhausted. I can manage it. I feel better.
