I was recently prescribed Praziquantel 600mg Tablets to treat a tapeworm infection. The medication works by paralyzing the worms, allowing your body to expel them. I've heard it's effective for schistosomiasis too. I've been taking it for a week now, and while I haven't experienced any major side effects, I'm keeping an eye out for any signs of an allergic reaction or abnormal heartbeat. The doctor warned me about these serious side effects, so I'm being cautious. I wanted to share my experience and see if others have had similar outcomes. Has anyone else taken Praziquantel and dealt with any side effects? How long did it take for you to feel better?

I've been on Praziquantel for a few days now, and I feel like garbage. Is this normal? How long does it usually take to start feeling better? I've been experiencing headaches and dizziness.

Be careful with this stuff. I had a friend who had a really bad reaction to it. He ended up in the ER with a fever and abnormal heartbeat. Scary stuff.

I had no idea this med was used for worms. I thought it was for something else. How do you even get worms? I had to Google that.

Praziquantel saved my life. I had a severe case of schistosomiasis and was in a pretty bad state. The medication was tough on me, but it worked. I had to be hospitalized for a few days due to some severe side effects, but my doctor said it was worth it. After a few weeks, I felt almost normal again.

I had a bad experience with Praziquantel. Severe headache and stomach pain. I would've tried something else if I knew this was an issue, but my doctor assured me it was the only way. I would still recommend it if your doctor says so, but just be aware of the side effects.
