Prednisone is a commonly prescribed medication for various inflammatory conditions. Ive heard lots about Prednisone, but recently switched to the Intensol liquid form and am curious about others' experiences. What are some of the ways you found to help manage side effects or dosing?

My experience: I was initially prescribed the tablet form to treat my rheumatoid arthritis, but I found them hard to swallow. My doctor switched me to the liquid 5mg/1ml formulation. I had a bit of a learning curve when it came to measuring the correct dose, but it's been a game-changer.

I have experienced some changes in appetite and sleep patterns, but so far, not any of the serious side effects. Still, it's got me wondering: how many of you have had any of these more serious issues?

How do you all track and manage the side effects? I am using a symptom tracker app, but would love to find more tips!.

I've been on Prednisone Intensol for a few years now for my asthma. The liquid form is so much easier to adjust the dose with, but I've definitely gained some weight and have trouble sleeping sometimes. I try to monitor my calorie intake and exercise regularly to combat the weight gain. It's a constant battle, but overall, I'm glad to have this treatment option for my asthma.

Don't underestimate the side effects of this drug. I was thinking they were just going to be mild, but I had several weird ones that took me by surprise. My worst was definitely a headache, it never went away, even with pain killers. Honestly, it was scary. I kept taking it because my doctor said to. It’s crazy to think how serious it can get.

Has anyone else noticed changes in their menstrual cycle while on this medication?

I'm really grateful for this medication. It's helped me manage my lupus symptoms so much better. I do wish the side effects weren't so harsh though. Anyone else find they get super sweaty? It’s like I’m always running a fever but i’m not.
