So, I've been giving my kid Pres Gen Pediatric Liquid for their persistent cough and congestion. It's a combination of Guaifenesin, Dextromethorphan, and Phenylephrine. I've noticed some improvement, but I've also heard about potential side effects. Has anyone else used this and encountered any issues? I'm particularly worried about the allergic reactions mentioned in the urgent side effects. Also, what can I do to minimize the risk of these side effects? I've been breaking down the dosage into smaller increments, but I'm anxious to hear if there are other tips. With flu season in full swing, this stuff is suddenly vital to our household, and I want to make sure I'm doing everything right.

I can't believe this stuff didn’t work for my kid. My child wasn't getting any relief at all. It's horrible when you try something and nothing works. Definitely worth a discussion with your doctor before continuing any medication.

I always double-check with my pediatrician before giving any new meds to my kids. It's worth the peace of mind, even if it seems like common sense stuff. Better safe than sorry, since our kids can't always communicate their symptoms well.

I've had a lot of success with it, but honestly, my kid was better off with Tylenol (Acetaminophen) when it came to relieving the cough. That cold is persistent, but it didn't need to risk any of those side effects.

I've used this for my kid too. It's a lifesaver for congestion, but I noticed my kid got a bit drowsy. Might just be the Dextromethorphan. Just make sure to follow the dosage instructions carefully.

Is this stuff safe for kids under 2? My little one has a bad cough, and I’m hesitant to give it to them without a solid recommendation from a doctor. Probably best to stay on the safe side.
